What is VHS?
VHS also called Video Home System, is a device which is used for viewing and recording an audio visual program. When placed in suitable device which can identify the embedded codes of the VHS, it produces sound and images.
Duplication Process:
The process of duplication of videos from master to the target VHS is called VHS Duplication. It is usually done for large number of copies ranging from 10 to 10, 000. The copies are usually made up of Premium Grade tape stock. Video copying is carried out in an authentic way.
While the VHS Duplication is done you have to use a HI-Fi stereo VHS deck in Stand Play mode. If you use a non Hi-Fi deck or record, it will produce poor audio quality. The non hi-fi deck or record of any extended play includes SLP or EP. They generally have a very poor dub, thereby degrading the audio quality. Generally the poor audio quality is classified as Grade C or Category C. it is not accepted in the market.
What do you get in a duplicated VHS?
In case of VHS Duplication, you get VHS w/bottom load jacket, printing on the tape with white ink (sometimes you get a paper label in its place), shrink-wrap and optional printed cardboard sleeves. Customized and classy designs of VHS Sleeves are available. It comes in both black and white color. You can choose any one of them.
Some factors to remember while VHS Duplication:
- Maintain the time: While VHS Duplication, it is always recommended to keep the timing within 1 hour. If you keep 2 hours service, then there will not be any additional advantage. The outcome will be negative in that case. It can slower your delivery turnaround time.
- New Tapes to be used: In case of VHS duplication, only new tapes are to be used. Old tapes can deteriorate the quality.
- Maintain the high speed: While duplicating a VHS, the standard speed (SP) must be maintained. EP sometimes gives playback problems. Therefore it is better to avoid EP.
- Best Brands recommended: Good brands of recorders must be used. The quality of the recording device decides the quality of your audio and visual effects.
